Hi! I’m Amy Anderson, professional marketer (MBA, University of Georgia). I have twelve years of market research and brand management experience and have worked for companies large and small in a variety of positions. I most recently worked as a Brand Manager for a telecommunications accessories company, and before that I was a Product and Social Media Manager for one of the world’s largest arts and crafts companies for five years.
In addition to my professional expertise, I am also a creative blogger. I started Mod Podge Rocks in 2008 just for fun, never anticipating the growth I would experience and the amazing network I would form. MPR was named one of Babble.com’s Top 10 Best Overall Craft Blogs for 2011, and since that time has grown by leaps and bounds. I’ve been featured on Design*Sponge, CRAFT and I have my first book coming out in June of this year. In addition to being owner/editor of MPR, I also co-own Decor Hacks (with Heather) and contribute to Crafterminds and Babble.com’s The New Home Ec.
Hi! I’m Heather Mann. I’m a crafter, writer and entrepreneur, and got my start as a little girl selling polymer clay beads and scrunchies door to door. I am an expert in frugal crafting, and I blog about high-style low-price crafting at my popular blog DollarStoreCrafts.com. I live in Salem, OR and am the mother of three little boys.
I have been featured in the New York Times, on the Martha Stewart Show, in Reader’s Digest Asia, and my work has appeared in FamilyFun Magazine, ReadyMade Magazine and others. In 2011, I was named as a Top 10 Best Overall Craft Blogger by Babble.com. I am also a co-host of Get a Little Creative, a webshow on MyCraftChannel.com. I have been an industry speaker at BlogHer, Snap! Creative Conference, and am a member of several task forces for the Craft and Hobby Association.
I have an intimate knowledge of blogging, having built several blogs that receive between 100k and over 1 million pageviews a month, and I excel at networking with bloggers; I developed a blogging community at Crafterminds.com, where we host a successful weekly Twitter chat. I have an incisive mind as a consultant for companies who wish to work with bloggers, and am a specialist in strategic social media marketing. My strengths include strategic thinking, and planning the most effective campaigns for companies that will take full advantage of the strengths of bloggers.
